Serving Our Members Since 1957

Grand Junction Federal Credit Union received its Approval of Organization certificate on April 30, 1957. Originally, membership was limited to employees of the City of Grand Junction, their immediate family members, and affiliated organizations.

Over time, membership eligibility expanded to include employees of the City of Fruita and several small employer groups. In May 2004, a merger with Mesa County Federal Credit Union further broadened membership to include Mesa County employees and their families.

In August 2006, Grand Junction Federal Credit Union continued its growth through a merger with Roaring Fork Employees Credit Union, expanding both its membership base and service area.

In January 2020, the credit union was approved by the NCUA to become a community charter credit union. Today, individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in Mesa, Delta, and Garfield counties are eligible for membership.

It shall be the mission of Grand Junction Federal Credit Union to follow the credit union philosophy by providing superior member service while maintaining a financially strong, friendly, and service-oriented credit union.
